Peanut Butter Lovesicle, the New York based psych-rock trio, are set to kick off a two week run in the UK this February.  Before crossing the pond, they will be playing one show in NYC on February 6th at Leftfield.

The upcoming headlining tour of the UK has been preceded by a flurry of love and exciting placements for the trio. The band’s drummer, Timmy Miller, was recently featured in a Geico commercial exclusive to MTV (view here: http://vimeo.com/56577901#) while tastemakers have been continually praising the band’s music.  Both Interview Magazine and Earmilk had effusive compliments for the band as well as a feature on IFC for their song “Complex” off their latest EP Dirty Pride (view it here: http://www.ifc.com/fix/2012/11/download-peanut-butter-lovesicle-complex).

The band released their debut EP Dirty Pride late in 2012 which was produced by Henry Hirsch (responsible for #1 hits for artists Lenny Kravitz and Madonna). Not only have tastemakers flocked to the band, but also an elite fan following which includes Ed Westwick (of Gossip Girl) and Julie Henderson (of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue) – both of which were featured in the band’s music video for “Black Eyed Blues”

Now the band will join the ranks of Nas, Mark Ronson and many other hugely successful acts when they headline the venerable Notting Hill Arts Club, which is known for breaking artists of all genres. Catch them live in the US or UK this winter, confirmed tour dates below.

“…falls somewhere in between Jimi Hendrix, the Allman Brothers, and the Black Keys…”
– Interview Magazine

“…another confident and bold step into a sub-genre that has plenty of room for up-and-comers.” – Earmilk

US Tour Dates:

Feb 6th – Leftfield, New York City

UK Tour Dates:

Feb 15th – Barfly, London

Feb 20th – Paper Dress, London (Press + VIP Only)

Feb 26th – Notting Hill Arts Club, London

UFO keysman and songwriter Paul Raymond is excited to announce the addition of Hear No Evil/Cherry Red label mates PIG IRON as special guests to his “Terms & Conditions Apply” solo album launch show on Feb 1 at London’s Borderline venue.

Pig Iron are a bluesy, heavy rock band formed in London in 2001. Over their career the band have released an impressive catalogue of original material including an EP, four studio albums and a live album, and gathered some prestigious support slots with the likes of Iron Maiden, Ricky Warwick, Budgie, Waysted, Orange Goblin, whilst also cementing themselves as firm favourites on the rock festival circuit.

Having just released new album ‘IV’ to critical acclaim from UK rock press including being alluded to as ‘The Black Crowes if they came from Streatham’ by Metal Hammer, PIG IRON are looking forward to joining the bill on what promises to be a fantastic evening of new rock ‘n’ roll offerings from the Cherry Red Records imprint.

The show is a guaranteed must-see for UFO fans and hard rock fans of the era – with vocals from Reuben Archer (Stampede, Wild Horses, Lionheart, Lautrec) (and perhaps a couple of other surprises in store!) The set will feature songs from the new album as well as some of the best-loved UFO classics.

The new Paul Raymond Project album, entitled "Terms & Conditions Apply" is set for a worldwide release on January 28 2013. It will mark the sixth release by the group and features a guest appearance from Michael Schenker (MSG, UFO, Scorpions) on a cover of ‘Reach Out (I’ll Be There)’ and by Reuben Archer on ‘Love Is Blind'.

Tickets for the London show at The Borderline on Feb 1st are available here:

On Friday 22 February, inakustik will release three a compilation of three rare previously unreleased German concerts recorded and filmed in 1989, 1995 and 2000, from the Canadian blues rock guitarist, Jeff Healey.

Entitled “Jeff Healey - As The Years Go Passing By: Live in Germany 1989 – 1995 - 2000”,the concerts will be released as a 3 CD-set and as a Deluxe Edition 3CD + 2DVD. The latter includes an extensive booklet with contributions from the participating musicians and rare photos.

The three concerts, “OhneFiler Extra” (1989), “Extraspätin Concert” (1995), and “OhneFilter Extra” (2000), give an insightful look into the evolution of Jeff Healey; a document of an outstanding guitarist in three distinct phases of his career. The concerts are presented as they were performed, live without the aid of studio intervention. Spanning over eleven, they document different periods of the Jeff Healey Band.

“With the fifth anniversary of Jeff's passing coming up on 2nd March 2013, we were looking for a special way to commemorate and help celebrate Jeff’s life and legacy,” says Jeff’s widow, Cristie Healey. “In preparing for this release, it was important to include the participation of as many of the performers involved. Jeff’s friends and colleagues have enthusiastically shared their memories of the concerts which help make this rare live compilation extra special.”

“The Jeff Healey Estate is very proud to endorse this release. It’s the first collection of archive material to be officially released with the approval of the Healey Family since Jeff left us all too soon. We are privileged to continue the legacy of his immense efforts, incredible talent and sheer love of music, for everyone to enjoy.”

Long Beach band RIVAL SONS kick 2013 off in style announcing dates in the USA, Canada and a return to Europe in March supporting their latest album HEAD DOWN.

Guitarist Scott Holiday comments:

"Now that we've made it through the holidays, filled our bellies with fruitcake and hot cocoa, opened all our presents and survived the Mayan calendar, we are ready to get back on the road. We'll start the year with a few west coast US dates before moving into a Canadian tour. We may even catch a few more US dates on the way home. We also have UK and European dates on the books for March/April and of course, we'll be back through for the summer festivals.

"Lots of plans in the works for 2013. Yep, it's gonna be a busy year of nonstop rock'n'roll for us boys. Chinese calendar says its the 'year of the Sons', Jimmy Page likes our band, and my Grandma says she 'hears us on the radio all the time'. If that's not the planets aligning I dunno what is. Thanks Grandma."
