Voodoo Six annouce Download Festival appearance and dates with Adrenaline Mob British rockers Voodoo Six are excited to announce their Summer 2012 tour schedule which will include a set on Download Festival’s Red Bull Bedroom Stage and support shows across the UK with ex-Dream Theater legend Mike Portnoy’s heavy metal super group Adrenaline Mob.
The dates come following the release of the band’s limited edition EP ‘Falling Knives’ and single of the same name earlier this year, which garnered critical acclaim across the European rock and metal press. The band have been locked away for the past few months in Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris’ studio writing and recording the material for their new album. Lead singer Luke Purdie comments: "This new material really takes Voodoo Six to a new level and we’ll have more news on that front soon - but for now we’re just so excited to be getting back out on the road again and can’t wait to share a stage with Adrenaline Mob and an incredible Download lineup!” SUMMER 2012 TOUR DATES: 08-06-12 Download Festival Red Bull Bedroom Jam Stage 29-06-12 King Tuts Glasgow (w/ Adrenaline Mob) 30-06-12 Moho Live Manchester (w/ Adrenaline Mob) 01-07-12 Academy 2 Birmingham (w/ Adrenaline Mob) 02-07-12 The Junction Cambridge (w/ Adrenaline Mob) 03-07-12 KOKO London (w/ Adrenaline Mob) http://www.voodoosix.com http://www.facebook.com/VoodooSixBand

Click the link to get your tickets now: http://www.o2academybirmingham.co.uk/event/40700/i-am-i-tickets Debut full-length on Solid State Records Follow-up to 2011 EP, We Are The Ones Dead City Ruins spit out a lethal cocktail of rock & roll, mixing classic heavy metal with bluesy stoner rock dashed with the danger of punk. The Australian noise chiefs finally release their debut album ‘Midnight Killer’ in the UK on 23rd July. Wasting no time, Dead City Ruins have earned a reputation for delivering shows that are pure balls-to-the-wall rock with a no-holds-barred attitude. The guys live, eat, and breathe rock n’ roll and show no signs of letting up. A purely independent outfit, Dead City Ruins have arranged all touring, recording, promotion, and distribution solely off their own backs, an admirable feat and impressive achievement. Fuelled with an uncompromising persistence to play shows whenever and wherever possible, the band give their all at every show and this has earned the live-wired quintet a formidable reputation, and rightly so. The band are geared to invade Europe yet again later this year in support of their debut album ‘Midnight Killer’, which finally sees the light of day after been locked away for the past year. DCR will play dates with fellow Oz rockers ‘Wolfmother’, ‘Gojira’, and US superstars ‘Mastodon’, as well as recording their second full length album at the foot of the year. The band play the following dates: DEAD CITY RUINS live: May 31 – SHEFFIELD, Dove and Rainbow; June 1 – BRADFORD, Gasworks; June 2 – NOTTINGHAM, Rock City; June 3 – BATLEY, Brookland’s Bar; June 6 – The Lamp, Hull; June 7 – NOTTINGHAM, The Diamond; June 8 – IDLE, The Coniston; June 9 – PICKERING, The Rose; June 13 – ACKWORTH, Boot and Shoe; June 15 – LONDON, 100 Club; June 16 – LINCOLNSHIRE, The Chase; June 17 – LONDON – The Monarch. |
